In the 1970s, MBK started by cutting shrink tubing and adhesive tape for the aerospace and defense industries. As industry trends changed and technology advanced, MBK became more diverse, ranging from fenestration, electronics, POP displays to medical devices. Today, MBK specializes in fabricating tape and flexible component parts and finished goods for stick-to-skin, food, and pharmaceutical applications for OEMs and start-up companies.

To accommodate the growth in sales, MBK moved and expanded its footprint several times. With the growth of the medical business, MBK added a mezzanine and cleanroom, but quarters became tight. In 2017, MBK moved down the street to a new facility that nearly doubled the previous manufacturing footprint and included a state-of-the-art ISO Class 8 cleanroom with four, independent work cells for manufacturing and packaging.

Today, MBK has built an array of portable cleanrooms for job flexibility and has added a second facility, which is 100% climate-controlled, operating machinery, warehousing inventory, and providing redundant manufacturing.
